Huon Valley House is a place where you can unwind in comfort. We aim high; it’s a spacious, stylish space, with comfortable beds and gorgeous views from every window. And best of all, it’s private but central to everything the Valley has to offer, and an easy drive to Hobart and other Southern Tasmania destinations. Outside is an acre of lawn and garden, birds and wildlife, plenty of parking and large decks with views in all directions. It’s the perfect luxurious base to explore the south-west.
The house caters for eight guests with four bedrooms and two bathrooms and includes free Wi-Fi and Netflix.
Some great local eats include Summer Kitchen Bakery and My Slice of Pie (which my parents and kids both love); there are cellar doors at Home Hill Winery, Pagan Cider and Willie Smith’s (among others); Cygnet has a bunch of antique/craft/art/book/produce shops; you can hire vintage, modern and electric bikes at Huon Bikes; and Hastings thermal pool is absolutely divine. There are incredible short walks and day hikes nearby (check the TasTrails website), or you can hire a kayak or take a jet boat ride from Huon Jet Boats.
