Imagine spending the afternoon in the Campo de Flori olive orchard tasting some of Tasmania’s best Extra Virgin Olive Oils while learning about the 10 varieties of olives grown at Campo de Flori. June is the perfect time of the year that a visitor can see the fully developed olives on the tree and see the different shapes and sizes of the 10 varieties grown on the farm.
THE WORKSHOP INCLUDES:
-The Information Booklet. Including photos and descriptions of the types of olives we grow.
-The process of making extra virgin olive oil.
-A tasting of Extra Virgin Olive Oils from around Tasmania. From mild to robust and discuss each one’s characteristic with the tasting wheel found in the booklet.
-A discussion on the tasting notes of “what do you taste?”
-We will walk through the orchard observing each variety of olive.
-We will finish off the afternoon around the woodfire oven eating warm olive treats pulled fresh from the wood fire oven while warming up with a hot drink.
-A Campo de Flori olive wreath ceramic bowl. Perfect for serving fresh extra virgin olive in.
-A 100ml bottle of EVOO. You will be sent a 100ml bottle of our freshly cold pressed extra virgin olive oil in mid to late August.
