Rally your mates and wrangle the kids—the scenic Huon Valley is hosting some ripper events in November.

1. Cider for Drought Aid

When: Sunday, 4 November 2018, from 12:00pm
Where: Willie Smith’s Apple Shed

Our farmers are still in need, so get the posse together and head to Willie Smith’s Apple Shed to sip a cider for a good cause. Try your luck at the silent auction, kick back to the live music and soak up the good vibes. All of the proceeds from Willie Smith’s Drought Aid Cider will be donated to drought aid—half to the CWA Tas State Crisis Fund and the other half to CWA NSW Drought Aid.

(You might also like to check out their Artisan & Produce Market, which is held every Saturday from 10:00am – 1:00pm.)

2. The Great Huon Valley Festival

When: Saturday 10 – Sunday 11 November 2018
Where: Historic Franklin Foreshore
Tickets: All ages and strictly limited, starting from $37.75 (buy tickets here)

Enjoy the very best of the Huon Valley with two full days of music, comedy, food and drink stalls, wood chopping, activities and adventures. The epic musical line up includes The Wolfe Brothers, Asta, Bad Dad Orchestra, Enola Fall, and Skooterz. Former Triple J presenter Matt Okine headlines the side-splitting comedic lineup. Adventurous souls will be in their element trying the river rafting, sailing, paddle boats, giant zorb balls, mini-jeeps, and jet boat rides.

3. The Huon Show

When: Saturday, 17 November 2018, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Where: Ranelagh Recreation Ground
Tickets: At the gate (families $25, adults $10, u/16 $5, u/5 free)

Family favourite The Huon Show is on again, featuring everything you love about a classic country agricultural show. There’s lots to see and do, with competitions, entertainment, animals, woodchopping and sawing, show jumping, food and drink stalls, art and craft stalls, and displays of agricultural equipment and machinery.
